Maardu hotel
En revurdering av ideén om et hotel i Maardu, Estland.

A (luxury) hotel is a place for ostracism and abuse of socioeconomic power.
The workforce are the real inhabitants of the hotel, and the visitors are their guests
In reality the staff spends a lot more time at a hotel than the guests and can therefore be considered the real inhabitants. At the same time a minimum of space is left for them and little care is given to the architecture in these spaces. In a place like Maardu, where there are very little tourists or tourist attractions, it is possible to reconsider the standard and make a hotel with the real inhabitants in mind, namely the staff and to some extend also the city dwellers. This hotel consists of small houses where the traditional staff rooms, like kitchen and storage room, are given a prominent place and core function. The luxury facilities, like the pool, sauna and exercise room, are made available for the public.
